Monday Movie Meme

This week's movie topic is all about Memorable Endings...

(1939) “Oh, but anyway, Toto, we're home! Home! And this is my room - and you're all here! And I'm not gonna leave here ever, ever again because I love you all! - And oh, Auntie Em, there's no place like home.”

(1940) “It's Mrs. Danvers. She's gone mad. She said she'd rather destroy Manderley than see us happy here.”

(1942) “Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

(1946) “Look, Daddy. Teacher says, every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.” “That's right, that's right. Attaboy, Clarence.”

(1949) “Made it, Ma! Top of the world…He finally got to the top of the world. And it blew right up in his face.”

(1950) “…You see, this is my life. It always will be! There's nothing else - just us - and the cameras - and those wonderful people out there in the dark. All right, Mr. De Mille, I'm ready for my close-up.”

(1950) “How shall I make out the report on him, Captain?”“Better make it 'dead on arrival'.”

(1953) “After all that men could do had failed, the Martians were destroyed and humanity saved by the littlest things which God in his wisdom had put upon the Earth.”

(1965) “We saw her many times again, born free and living free. But to us, she was always the same, our friend Elsa.”

(1968) “You finally really did it. You maniacs! You blew it up! God damn you! God damn you all to hell!”

Monday Movie Meme

This week's movie topic is all about Feel Good Flicks...

It's just FUN!!!

...and almost anything these two guys did together.

...any time one of these two show up in a comedy it's good news! Don't miss "Holiday", with both of them and "Monkey Business", Grant and Ginger Rogers! Ooh, and "Topper"! "His Girl Friday"! I LOVE me some Cary Grant!!!

You also can't go wrong with "Curly Top" (Animal Crackers in my soup!) and "Captain January". Frankly, any movie that includes Temple with Bojangles, Buddy Ebsen or Arthur Treacher! And, of course, team her up with Cary Grant and you've got "The Bachelor and the Bobbysoxer"!

My all time favorite Disney animation!
