Heads or Tails: Point

OK!

So, when you put the word "heads" and the word "point" in the same space, one thing, and only one thing comes to my mind. I've been unable to shake it all week. It was instant and I couldn't get it out of my mind.

Then, before posting, I decided to check out some folks who have already posted because I couldn't imagine any other answer. I was sure everyone would have the same idea.

I was wrong!

So far, only one other person's head went in the same direction...so I've stolen her post:

Now, some of you may have noticed that I do a “what first pops into my head” kind of a thing when I do Heads or Tails. So…this is what first popped into my head for this one!

Heads or Tails: Legend

I've always been a bit of an "old-soul". And when I was in grade school, I remember running home to catch the Mike Douglas Show at 4 o'clock! I always loved Mike Douglas. And his show is how I was first exposed to:

Totie Fields

1930-1978

If you're too young to know who she was...you've missed a gem! Totie was one of few female stand-ups working in the 60's and 70's. She always made me laugh! Mike Douglas often used her as a co-host on his show. I remember turning on his show one day in the mid 70's, by this time I was in junior high school, and Totie came out in a wheelchair. One of her legs had been amputated. I remembered it as having been due to diabetes, but wikipedia says it was a botched blood clot surgery. Either way, it didn't stop her, she was still as funny as ever!

So, for those who have never had the pleasure...and for those who have...here is the only video I can find on the Internet. Her closing joke is one I have never forgotten!

So, when I saw this week's topic, I knew exactly what I was going to post.

I have always LOVED to watch tap dancers! And, I have no idea why, but I've always been more impressed by the men than the women. Something in the over-all movement of the body, I suppose.

But then...I won't tell you who I started with, but one dancer lead me to another, and then another, and on and on...
