Mike Douglas often used her as a co-host on his show. I remember turning on his show one day in the mid 70's, by this time I was in junior high school, and Totie came out in a wheelchair. One of her legs had been amputated. I remembered it as having been due to diabetes, but wikipedia says it was a botched blood clot surgery. Either way, it didn't stop her, she was still as funny as ever!
